Clinical Pilates is a traditional Pilates session combined with contemporary scientific knowledge and research. These Pilates sessions are specifically personalised programs in combination with physiotherapy treatment (as required), delivered by Pilates-trained Physiotherapists. Clinical Pilates can help with the rehabilitation of chronic and complex injuries and illnesses, such as:
In addition to floor exercises, various Pilates equipment may be used for these sessions, such as:
These sessions ensure that you are working towards your movement goals while receiving consistent supervision and feedback from a physiotherapist.
There are three options for attending a Clinical Pilates class:
Before you start a Clinical Pilates class, you will need to complete an initial consultation. During the initial consultation, one of our physiotherapists will assess your movement and core control, using ultrasound to identify your physical requirements and discuss your personal aspirations. The physiotherapist will then design a program that details specific movements/exercises and equipment that will help you achieve your goals.
Please note that the initial consultation is compulsory for all new clients wishing to attend our Clinical Pilates classes, regardless of experience.
Clinical Pilates is taken by a Physiotherapist, so it should be claimable through your health fund. Contact your health fund if you have any questions regarding claims.
